"Reach. Don't Doubt Yourself" is a self portrait that is more about capturing my emotions than the resemblance of my physical appearance.  "Reach..." mirrors the times when I have squashed feelings of doubt, that feeling that things may not be as I expect or that I am not prepared, that I am unrealistic.  The point for me, is that I have taken chances and things have been ok or even great!  Maybe it didn't work out but I did actually trust myself to keep reaching.

The painting was done on a board that I prepared to explore spontaneity and choices that are inspired by the highly textured random qualities of the surface.

This painting was accepted in the juried exhibitions:

"Herstory" at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in February 2016

"Focus on Figures" exhibition at North River Art Society in April 2016
